Our Church

Victory Baptist Church is an independent, fundamental Baptist church located in Bloomfield, IN. The church sets on 8 beautiful acres in the farmland region of Indiana known as White River Valley. Southwestern Indiana is a picturesque area with gorgeous rolling farmland, large tracts of forest (such as the Hoosier National Forest), and a chain of low mountains or "high hills" called "The Knobs." There are several State Park/Resort areas within reasonable driving distance of the church. Nashville, Indiana in Brown County is a beautiful little resort type town with many antique shops and art galleries. Shakamak State Park features fishing, camping, and hiking trails and is available right here in Greene County. The church is easily accessible from anywhere in the Bloomington, Terre Haute, Evansville and Indianapolis areas.  

We have recently finished remodeling our auditorium, nursery and Sunday School Classes. We desire everything we do to honor the Lord Jesus and at the same time be first class.

Our church ministers to our community in various ways. These ministries include Sunday School and Sunday Services, door to door evangelism, Thursday evening Bible study, and various other church activities. All of these have one goal in mind, propagating the gospel "to every creature."

Victory Baptist Church believes it is a privilege to serve our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ in 2011, and we are expecting great things from God. We believe the Lord's coming is drawing nigh. The Lord could come at any time. However, we refuse to sit back and tarry till the Lord comes. We are going to keep busy about the work God has called us to do.

Our Pastor

    Victory Baptist Church is under the leadership of Pastor Jerel Clanney. He, his wife Hannah, and daughter Julia, moved here from Lexington, KY, in August of 2009. Pastor and his wife are also expecting their second daughter in July of 2011. Pastor Clanney and Mrs. Hannah both graduated from Commonwealth Baptist College in Lexington and are excited about the opportunity God has given them to serve in this area.

In Lexington, Pastor attended the Clays Mill Road Baptist Church where he served on the maintenance staff for 5 years. He was a faithful Bus Captain and Sunday School teacher there for 6 years. His bus routes brought thousands of kids to Sunday School and many young people were saved.

Since their move to Indiana, God has truly blessed their work here at Victory Baptist Church! Folks have been saved and baptized, Christians have been encouraged and a difference has been made in our community. Pastor truly has a desire to see our church (the called out assembly of believer's) grow individually in our walk and service for the Lord. He refuses to sit back and let the devil wreck and ruin the lives of God's people without a fight, and this comes through in his preaching! Pastor believes and says often, "If you are not a growing Christian, you are a dying Christian." That is why he encourages us to keep on growing in our love of the Lord, our devotion to the Lord and our work for the Lord. We are excitedly looking forward to what God is going to do in the future here at Victory Baptist Church. We pray you will come and take part in it!
