ABOUT BLOOMFIELD

Victory Baptist Church is located in rural Bloomfield, IN (distant center of pic). The church sets on 4.5 beautiful acres (far right center of pic) in the farmland region of Indiana known as White River Valley. Bloomfield has a population of just over 2,000 and is a quiet, friendly, country community! Southwestern Indiana is a picturesque area with gorgeous rolling farmland, large nationally protected forests, ample lakes and streams, and beautiful rural communities.

Even though Bloomfield is a small, rural community, it has a few very interesting characteristics that add to its charm. The Tulip Trestle is a 2,295-foot long railroad bridge that spans Richland Creek between Solsberry and Bloomfield. According to the book "Railroads of Indiana", the Tulip Trestle is "easily the state's most spectacular railroad bridge". The bridge was built in 1906 and is still in use to this day as part of the Indiana Rail Road.

Bloomfield is also home to the Hi-Lift Jack Factory. These American made Hi-Lift Jacks are made right here in Bloomfield and then shipped all over the world. They are the finest quality upright jacks you will find and they are trusted by farmers, auto workers, recovery companies, and Jeep, SxS, and off-road enthusiasts all across the country and around the world! You can purchase a jack on Amazon or Northern Tool & Equipment, among others!

Naval Surface Warfare Center, Crane Division (NSWC Crane), located just south of Bloomfield is a shore command of the U.S. Navy. NSWC Crane is under the Naval Sea Systems Command headquartered in Washington DC. The mission of NSWC Crane is to provide acquisition engineering, in-service engineering and technical support for sensors, electronics, electronic warfare and special warfare weapons.

NSWC Crane provides technical engineering solutions and total lifecycle leadership for many of the systems that protect and enable the Warfighter. Every decision they make, technology they create, or business relationship they foster is performed with the fighting man and woman in mind. NSWC Crane has concentrated its resources and core competencies in the 3 mission areas which best support the Warfighter: Strategic Missions, Electronic Warfare, and Expeditionary Warfare.
